IFTA Plus moved to new hosting facility
In an effort to provide a better online experience, on April 6th 2009, we migrated IFTA Plus to a new hosting provider at Slicehost. Over the last 3 years, we have operated at 99.873% uptime. We hope this move increases this number without additional operational costs. Our customers should not have experienced any service interruptions and should now experience a faster performing application.
This new hosting facility provides better monitoring, security, and bandwidth over our previous hosting facility. We are excited about this change and look forward to our future growth on this new platform.

Minnesota Fuel Tax Return Discontinued
This morning we received the following notice from the state of Minnesota.
IFTAPlus.
RE: 3rd Qtr Tax Return filing
Dear Sir or Madam:
Beginning first quarter 2006, all carriers were notified that they must use the form we provide each quarter. This notification is sent as a reminder every year at time of renewal. The Minnesota Statutes allows the Commission of Public Safety to require Minnesota Motor Carriers to file the appropriate form. Your form is not an appropriate form. It will not be accepted.
If this form is used in place of the one we provide, we will return it to the carrier. If the subsequent return is filed after the due date, a late penalty and interest will apply. The forms provided by the Minnesota Prorate office are the official tax returns accepted.
If you have any questions regarding this notice, please call as soon as possible at (651) 205 – 4110.
Sincerely,
Sandra J. Christenson
Lead IFTA Auditor – MN Prorate
We are immediately stopping our Minnesota IFTA fuel tax return preparation service until this issue is sorted out with the state. If your MN return was rejected, contact us directly and we will refund your $25.

Q3 2008 IFTA Filing Season Complete
Hopefully everyone finished filing their third quarter 2008 IFTA fuel tax return. This quarter, like many others, saw a lot of milestones for us at IFTA Plus.
This quarter:
- Saw our fifth consecutive 40+% increase in the number of overall returns generated.
- Had over 75% of our filers from last quarter return this quarter.
- Experienced numerous calls from satisfied customers praising the ease of use and the speed of preparation.
We talked with over 60 companies who called to say thanks, or to ask for help. From these conversations, we understand the pains the trucking industry is experiencing right now. Many companies can’t make enough money to support their business. We hear you and we are working hard to make sure your next quarter fuel tax filing will be easier, faster and cheaper than ever. If you have any suggestions, let us know by leaving a comment. We are always looking forward to customer suggestions.
Thank you all for your new and continued business. Drive safe and we’ll see you next quarter.
Stuart Ludlow – IFTA Plus
P.S. If you have not yet filed your 3rd quarter return, it’s never too late. You can always prepare a late filing through IFTA Plus.
