Thanks for a successful Q3 09 filing season

I’d like to start off by saying thanks to each company that used IFTA Plus to prepare their third quarter 2009 IFTA fuel tax return.  This quarter, like many others, saw a lot of milestones for us.

This quarter:

  • Saw our ninth consecutive 20% quarterly increase in the number of IFTA returns prepared.
  • Had over 81% of our filers from last quarter return this quarter.
  • Experienced numerous calls from satisfied customers praising the ease of use and the speed of preparation.

We talked with over 85 companies who called to say thanks, ask questions, or to ask for help.  From these conversations, we understand the pains the trucking industry is experiencing right now.  Many companies can’t make enough money to support their business.  We hear you and we are working hard to make sure your next quarter fuel tax filing will be easier, faster and cheaper than ever.  If you have any suggestions, let us know by leaving a comment.  We are always looking forward to customer suggestions.

Thank you all for your new and continued business.  Drive safe and we’ll see you next quarter.

Why Choose IFTA Plus?

IFTA Plus is the IFTA reporting tool of choice for over 2000 small to mid size trucking companies.  Our customers have come to rely upon our ease of use, accuracy, affordability, and great customer service.

In addition to immediate preparation of your official State IFTA fuel reports, IFTA Plus also provides fuel and mile analysis on each return, custom IFTA reports per truck, and great incentive programs.

However, did you know there is a lot more to IFTA Plus than fuel tax reporting?

IFTA Plus also provides all of its customers under 20 drivers free transportation software.  Over 4 years ago, we built an Hours of Service (HOS) calculator for local companies.   Then we added a Driver Qualification File (DQ) document tracking tool and finally a Fleet Maintenance tool.  All these powerful tools are now free to our customers, even if you don’t use us to prepare your IFTA return.

In addition, we also provide numerous reports so give you immediate information.  For example, if you prepare a single IFTA return with 3 trucks, we can give you the truck specific miles and fuel used per state, the average mpg and IFTA taxes owed per truck.  There is more information about this return here. Want a quick view into what DQ files you are missing?  We have four separate reports to help out.

If you haven’t looked at IFTA Plus in a while, check us out.  If you have, leave a comment and let us know what you think.

2 Weeks Left to Prepare your IFTA Fuel Report

Your first quarter 2009 IFTA fuel tax report is due in two weeks on April 30, 2009.

Collect all your fuel purchased and miles driven between January 1 and March 31, 2009.  Fuel and mileage needs to be itemized per state.

For example, let’s say you took a 500 mile round trip from Missouri, through Kansas and up into Nebraska.  You  originally bought 50 gallons of diesel in Missouri.  On your way back, you bought an additional 50 gallons in Nebraska.   Your fuel and mileage breakdown will look like:

MO: 250 miles, 50 gallons

KS: 100 miles

NE: 150 miles, 50 gallons

Go through your fuel or credit card receipts to get you gallons and your trip reports to get your mileage.  That’s all you need.  IFTA Plus will take care of the rest.

Safe driving!
